The answer to Whitefield's foot problems
Here at One Step Ahead Podiatry, we love helping people overcome their foot problems.
For us there is no better feeling then seeing happy, smiling faces when people leave the clinic with comfortable feet.
Between us we have over 65 years of experience working in the field of footcare.
Sarah Bradley
My name is Sarah and I am the Principal Podiatrist at One Step Ahead. I qualified from Huddersfield University in 2002 and over the last almost 20 years I have built up a vast array of knowledge in all things feet. I’ve lost count of the number of feet I’ve seen over the years!
I worked in the NHS for 17 years with a special interest in Rheumatology. In 2014 I completed my Masters Degree in Advancing Clinical Practice at Huddersfield as well as gaining qualifications for the administration of steroid injections for chronic musculoskeletal foot problems.
I enjoy taking part in regular update courses to keep my Podiatry knowledge as fresh as possible.
I took over at One Step Ahead Podiatry in 2019 and moved into private practice full time. In the clinic I work alongside two part-time associates, Jamie Wylde and Robert Nathan.
Out of work I am a keen walker. I recently completed the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge where I raised money for the local charity The Friendship Circle. I also carry out two podiatry sessions a month for the homeless charity Coffee4Craig, which is a great experience.
My husband Warren and I have three young children who are all very different, full of life and always keeping me active and on my toes.
Come and see how we can help you
Jamie Wylde
I qualified from Huddersfield University in 2016 and then worked at Bradford NHS Trust within the Podiatry department. I deal with all aspects of podiatry but I have a special interest in the function of the foot and ankle.
I had some mechanics issues with my own feet in the past which led me to see a Podiatrist. This was the driving force that created an interest in Podiatry and lead me to study the degree.
When I'm not being a Podiatrist you'll likely find me being ‘dad taxis’ for my two children. I keep active by going to the gym and out for runs, training for local half marathons. I am a keen football fan and I try to attend as many home games as I can with my dad. I better not mention who I support.
Robert Nathan
I gained my Podiatry qualification over 40 years, working within the NHS as a Podiatry manager and building up my private practice. I retired from the NHS and concentrated on my well-established private practice, providing a comprehensive podiatry service to the local community and generations of families.
In 2019 I fully retired from the practice which is now One Step Ahead Podiatry. I still maintain my connection though, providing holiday cover and working one Sunday a month.
When I'm not on family duty with my seven grandchildren, I can be found volunteering at The National Football Museum, the Lowry Theatre and local charity The Friendship Circle. I enjoy walking and catching up with friends over a cup of coffee.
